Be sure to have your insurance information with you when you call. Our office will verify your insurance before the first visit. If there is a problem we will contact you. If your insurance plan requires a referral from your primary care provider, we will let you know.
Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete paperwork. New patient information is completed on an electronic tablet in our offices. We will ask you for demographic information. You will sign a consent, acknowledgement forms, and an authorization for release of personal health information. You will also review our Notice of Privacy Practices. If you would like a copy of the Notice of Privacy Practices, please ask for one. If you are unable to use the electronic tablet, paper forms are available for your to complete.

Office Practices: Mon. thru Fri. 8:30 am – 5 pm
Vascular Access Centers: Mon. thru Fri. 7 am – 5 pm
Dallas Transplant Institute: Mon. thru Fri. 7 am – 5 pm
Pre-Transplant Center: Mon. thru Thurs. 8 am – 5 pm
We try to return calls as quickly as possible. If you leave a voice message for one of our clinical staff, your call will be returned at the end of the morning or at the end of the day.
Calls received after 4 pm will be returned the following business day.
Many of our physicians will request that you come to the office before your scheduled appointment to have laboratory testing so that the report is available to discuss with you at the time of your appointment with the physician. You may be directed to a laboratory draw station if it is more convenient for you.
We encourage you to register on our Patient Portal to receive lab and test results more quickly.
If you are not registered on our Patient Portal, results will either be mailed to you or you will be called.
If you call the office to request a prescription refill, let the receptionist know your physician’s name and she will transfer you to the appropriate clinical staff to get the prescription information. It may be necessary to leave a message, and if so, please leave the name of the medication needed and phone number of the pharmacy. You may also request prescription refills using the Patient Portal.
