Congratulations to Arthur P. Pasquarella Leadership in Action Award Honoree, David Knop

David Knop was honored with the Arthur P. Pasquarella award on Sunday, September 8, 2019 during the National Kidney Foundation annual walk at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas.  The prestigious award is presented annually to a devoted local supporter in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments as a National Kidney Foundation volunteer who has demonstrated significant dedication and commitment to their mission.

David is fully devoted to the National Kidney Foundation Serving Texas group and coordinates Dallas Nephrology Associates’ support of the National Kidney Foundation across the DFW metroplex including the screening of over 1,500 individuals during NKF KEEP Health Screenings in the past year.  David has been instrumental in leading Team DNA in raising over $200,000 in the past 10 years for the NKF Dallas Fort Worth walks which helps find ways to improve and extend as many lives as possible for people affected by kidney disease.

“When I joined DNA many years ago it was because I viewed working in healthcare as a noble profession. As I learned more about kidney disease and the impact on so many people, I realized that I had to do everything I could to increase awareness and join the fight in a personal way,” said David.   “Through my role in human resources, I am able to recruit compassionate healthcare providers and through my role as a volunteer and NKF board member, I am able to passionately support various NKF programs. These include health screenings, patient education, Camp Reynal and annual fundraising events such as Bonne Santé, Golf Classic, and the DFW Kidney Walk.”

David Knop, SPHR joined Dallas Nephrology Associates in October 1995 and is the Director of Human Resources.  He has also served as a member of the National Kidney Foundation Serving Texas Board since 2017.
