DNA Presents to Local Medical Community

Several Dallas Nephrology Associates (DNA) physicians recently presented at the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) primary care physician education program, CKDinform:  Early Detection and Prevention, on April 2, 2016 at the Omni Hotel in Las Colinas, TX.  The symposium was well attended by members of the local medical community. CKDinform is an accredited CME program with the National Kidney Foundation that provides the knowledge and tools to alter Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) outcomes, improve patients’ quality of life, and have an impact on CKD healthcare spending nationwide. Early diagnosis and treatment can slow or stop the progression of CKD, which is critical to the well-being of patients with CKD.  It can also help to avoid outlays of billions in healthcare dollars for end-stage renal disease (ESRD) care.

Dr. Alex Liang of DNA welcomed attendees and spoke to the importance that Primary Care Physicians and their staff play in the early detection and treatment of CKD.  Educational sessions included:

Keynote: Ebola – A Complex Viral Illness by Bruce R. Wall, MD, FACP

CKDinform: Early Detection and Prevention
A Primary Care Approach to CKD Management by Daniel S. Richey, DO

CKDinform:  Early Detection and Prevention
A PCP’s Guide to CKD Detection and Delaying Progression by Archana Rao, MD
